There are many advantages of using Valken Energy NiMh Airsoft batteries, including longer lifespan, lower sensitivity, and simpler chargers and routines required for use. The main advantage of Valken Energy Nickel Metal Hydride cells are that they have a much longer lifespan than standard lithium polymer cells. Nickel metal hydride cells usually last into the 1,000 cycles range compared to lithium polymer cells, which last on an average of 150-250 cycles. NiMh cells also have a much less sensitive chemistry than Li-po cells lowering the risk of fires that are associated with Li-po batteries. Another major advantage of nickel metal hydride cells is that they do not require any maintenance to ensure their performance. They do not exhibit memory characteristics like Nickel Cadmium batteries, which require a periodic discharge. This does not affect nickel metal hydride cells, so battery maintenance is not required.
Features
- Larger capacity and longer run time than previous 48108 – 9.6V 1600mAh NiMh Split
- NiMh batteries are safer than LiPo batteries because you can completely drain a NiMh battery to zero without risk. Each individual LiPo cell is 3.7V. If any LiPo cell discharges below 3V, the battery will fail and result in bloating, leaking, or fires
